National Congress of Black Women-Los Angeles Chapter was integral part of the Los Angeles Mayoral Candidates Forum that met Saturday, February 9, at Crenshaw High School, in Los Angeles. Chair, Judy Matthews opened the forum with a charge for the candidates, which was to recognize opportunities for the city and its residents. Judy emphasized that the forum was full of opportunities for them to express their vision for the African American community, and to speak to the concerns of this very relevant segment of Los Angeles. “I had the opportunity to ask 3 questions on behalf of NCBW-LAC,Inc., but due to time constraints, questions were limited.” You can go to the candidates websites to get answers on all questions submitted to them prior to the forum. www.janperry.com, www.plietezforla.com, www.ericgarcetti.com, and www.kevinjamesformayor.com.
